Food styling is the art of preparing food for either still photography,
such as magazines, or for movie/video production.
While New York City only has about 800 food stylist, there are
only approximately 100 food stylists nationwide who are considered
masters of this trade. When it comes to styling food, the stylist
has many things to conquer. Such as when it comes to food photography,
sometimes the food will tend to shrink, discolor or dry out. It
is the food stylist's job to counteract such instances.
