Dan Macey is an award-winning journalist who specializes in the food industry and more specifically, the presentation of food. His work has appeared in Cooks Illustrated, TV Guide’s Celebrity Dish, Cuizine magazine, Restaurant Business News, Gourmet Retailer and the IACP Food Forum. He works with food writers, cookbook authors and corporate clients to research articles, put together recipes, write promotion pieces and/or fact sheets. He is naturally curious and his journalism background gives him the experience to call the right sources to get good quotes that produce good copy. Besides his own work, Dan Macey has experience working with seasoned food writers and authors to enhance their work and make each task – from research, to recipe development to proof reading -- easier for the author. He is available as a writing assistant or collaborator. He has edited the national newsletter of the American Institute of Wine and Food and prior to changing his career path, Dan Macey supervised 34 editorial and creative employees producing 15 news and marketing publications. He is represented by the Sarah Jane Freymann Literary Agency on his own cookbook. |
